PETER G. ANGELIDES
Peter Angelides is one of several speakers for the Prop 13 Reform Task Force. Peter comes to the Prop 13 Reform Task Force with a history of speaking engagements on technical subjects at semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley. He also spent several years speaking throughout Latin America on a variety scientific instruments for American companies..
Highlights of his extensive experience include service as director as well as president of Metallographic Industries, an engineering laboratory he established in Sunnyvale. While in charge of the laboratory he sponsored monthly technical seminars given by experts in the semiconductor and computer fields. Peter received bachelor degrees in Spanish and Metallurgical Engineering from UC Berkeley. Presently he is studying for a music certificate from Ohlone Community College.
His interest in the Prop 13 Reform Task Force came from a presentation given by Gary Sirbu at a Tri Cities Democratic Forum meeting. Gary, the founder and president of Prop 13 Reform Task Force explained the advantages to California’s local communities of changing the current laws for taxing non-residential property. Peter believes strongly in the proposed changes and is looking forward to speaking about them.
