Group

Responsibilities

Media
  • Publication of the newsletter & website

  • Media contact and promotion of events. Ask members to promote club activities by putting out flyers & posting them where they can.

  • Organizing non-meeting events like parades, protests and marches

  • Presenting TVDC activities to other organizations and vice versa

  • Recruiting new members, asking all members to recruit and making suggestions about how to do it

Political
Action
  • Precinct Services means organizing and supporting Precinct Activities. The Precinct Services Group asks all members to service their own precinct and provides them with a precinct list and messages.

  • Writing letters to the editors and helping others to write letters to the editors. Letter writers will coordinate with club campaigns and notify members when specific issues will be addressed so we can respond and get lots of space in the press.

  • Tabling organization and asking all members to take a tabling shift during a campaign

Program
  • Arranging programs during monthly general membership meetings. Programs may include speakers, entertainment, political activities like phone banking and stuffing envelopes.

  • Asks all members to look for suitable speakers. 

  • Arranges for refreshments at meetings and events. Asks members to bring refreshments, set-up and clean-up after club activities.

  • Raises money for the club to use for political purposes. Asks members and guests to donate or pay admission to events. They may employ any suitable fundraising methods.
